Abstract:

The mathematical dynamic model and the adaptive control techniques of the hypersonic vehicles are summarized. Based on the descriptions of the generally used mathematical models, the applications of the model reference adaptive control, immersion and invariance nonlinear adaptive control, adaptive dynamic surface back-stepping control, adaptive sliding mode control, adaptive fuzzy slide model control and neural network adaptive control in the hypersonic vehicles are summarized. Moreover, the fault tolerant control techniques of the hypersonic vehicles are summarized, and the flight tests of the hypersonic vehicles based on the adaptive control methods are introduced. Finally, the current projects and research achievements are concluded, and the future development direction on the robust nonlinear adaptive control techniques is prospected. Different from the previous review work, this paper is emphasized on the research progress of solving the robustness, stability, switching and coordination problems of the hypersonic vehicles based on the adaptive control techniques.
