Abstract: In order to suppress interference and achieve safe satellite communications, the feasibility of various interference methods to interfere satellite frequency-hopping systems are analysed first, mainly focusing on the interference effect of a new interference method i.e. part time-resident interference on satellite frequency-hopping systems. On this basis, a smart antenna beamforming method to suppress part time-resident interference is proposed, the system model and the concept of transformation matrix is proposed. Simulation result shows that this method can suppress part time-resident interference effectively and can improve the beam’s pointing accuracy and the beam’s convergence speed.
