Abstract: Evaluation of suppressive jamming effect is one of the hot and difficult problems in the area of SAR electronic countermeasures (ECM). Two concepts of deceptive degree and suppressive degree based on characteristics of new deceptive jamming effect are presented in this paper, and then a synthetic evaluation method combining deceptive degree with suppressive degree is proposed. It can not only describe the jamming fidelity by utilizing change of target contour features, but also validate the deceptive degree according to analysis of suppressive degree based on region of interest (ROI) in image, with a human decision mechanism to get determinant conclusion of optimization choice in several jamming modes. The experiments results show that the proposed method can effectively evaluate new deceptive jamming effects, and the evaluation conclusions are much more pertinent and credible through introducing an information reactive mechanism.
