Abstract:
Aiming at reducing flexible vibrations in process of configuration change of a space station, an innovative strategy is proposed based on an input shaping technique generally used in spacecraft maneuvering. The dynamics model of a space station with variable configurations is established based on quasi coordinate Lagrange equations. Zero Vibration and Derivative (ZVD) and cascade method are employed to derive the input shaping model for the system; the new configuration change strategy is finally obtained according to the characteristics of the original strategy and the desired configuration. By applying the ameliorated strategy to the configuration change process, simulation results show that flexible vibrations are suppressed remarkably, and each modes’ maximum vibration magnitudes are suppressed to 10%~20% of the original ones. Particularly, the suppression is more effective for lower flexible modes.
