Abstract:

With the continuous increase of on orbit space objects, the collision assessment and warning of spacecraft against space objects become more and more important because the risk of collision between spacecrafts and space objects increase rapidly. By use of the investigation of relevant bibliography from both domestic and international researchers, a comprehensive survey on relevant techniques of collision assessment and warning are made. The general framework, key techniques, and theoretical problems involved are presented, the research developments of main technical problems are introduced, and several problems which still need to be solved are mentioned for relevant personnel occupied in space object surveillance and collision assessment.

Key words: Collision assessment, Proximity analysis, Orbit error, Collision probability, Risk Assessment
