Abstract:

The vibration response parameters of the actual joint structure in a solar array at different excitation frequencies are obtained by using dynamics experiments, and the nonlinear dynamics model of the joint is established by using the force state mapping method. First, the single frequency excitation signals are adopted to simulate the external disturbances to carry out the dynamics experiments for the actual joint in a solar array. Then, based on the multiple nonlinear dynamics characters of the joint, the dynamics parameters of the joint are identified by using the force state mapping method according to experimental data, and its nonlinear dynamics model is established. Finally, the vibration response test under the impact excitation is conducted for a system of two beams connected by the joint, and the finite element dynamics simulation of it is carried out. The test results agree well with the simulation results. The established nonlinear dynamics model of the joint in solar array can well describe its dynamics characters, and is good value for the theoretical reference of the dynamics modeling of actual solar arrays.
