Research on Modeling of Trajectory Optimization for RBCC Powered RLV

According to the principle of operation of RBCC, the characteristics and design problems of ascent trajectory of the RBCC Powered RLV are analyzed. Because of
multi working mode and the ramjet/scramjet mode limited by complicated constraints, the current optimization model can’t be used to obtain the global optimum trajectory of the sort of RLVs, a new model based on mixed integration variable for trajectory optimization is built based upon Radau pseudospectral method (RPM) and the linkage condition is imposed. All the constraints in different modes can be imposed in the new model, and the shortcoming of current models is overcome. The case with terminal conditions of 50km Ma8 is set to verify the optimization model. The result shows that the model accords with the characteristics of RBCC powered RLV and meets all requirements, the new model can be used in trajectory optimization of this sort of RLVs.
