Abstract:
According to the characteristics of the loading and deformation of space station folding articulated square truss mast (FASTMast) deployable truss structure, the buckling mode of the structure using the post-buckling flexiblebatten as elastic bearing is theoretically analyzed. The analysis results demonstrate that the buckling mode of deployable truss structure mainly behaves the performance of the elbow joint movement before the stiffness of post-buckling flexiblebattenreaches the critical condition. Once exceeding the critical stiffness, the buckling mode mainly behaves the performance of Euler buckling, and the stiffness of the post-buckling flexiblebatten is proportional to its cross-sectional moments of inertia. Compared with the experimental results, the accuracy of theoretical analysis is validated. The output of this paper is expected to provide some valuable information for studying other similar structures in the future.
