Abstract:

The inconsistent frequency bandwidth of optical gyros in a three-axis strapdown inertial navigation system (SINS)is studied. By using the transfer function of optical gyros, the relation between the frequency difference and the attitude error is derived, and a method to determine requirements for frequency bandwidth is given when choosing gyros. Moreover, a method to improve attitude determination accuracy is proposed by using linear interpolation or extrapolation compensation. Finally, by using a combination of fiber optic gyros and laser gyros for solving attitude, some experiments are carried out and the results verify that the theoretical analysis is correct.
