Rapid Design and Multi Object Optimization for Waverider from 3D Flow

To overcome the disadvantages of the traditional design methods for waverider, the shock fitting method is introduced to calculate the three dimensional hypersonic flow and to capture shock wave precisely. The point-searching method based on multi-grid is also explored to expedite the efficiency of streamline tracing. Therefore, the rapid design method is built for 3D waverider. Then the Pareto optimization of L/D ratio and plot ratio are studied based on B-spline and genetic algorithms to improve the aerodynamic performance. The study shows that the method is of high efficiency and large design space that can be applied in novel waverider design.
