Timing Analysis of Pre Released Data for XPNAV-1 Satellite

Abstract: The observation data of the Crab pulsar pre-released by XPNAV-1 is processed by the discrete Fourier transform (DFT) method, and the time-of-arrival (TOA) and their measurement uncertainties of the 35 data sets are obtained. The pre-fit timing residuals are figured out by employing the Crab pulsar monthly ephemeris provided by the Jodrell Bank and DE200 ephemeris published by JPL, whose RMS is 1.14 μs without systematic trend term. Thus, the validity of the observation data is verified. At the same time, the zero point phase difference between the X-ray and the radio band of the Crab pulsar is 0.04, during the period of the observation data. Besides, in this paper, the relationship between the number N of sub-phase intervals used to construct the pulse profile of the Crab pulsar and the RMS of the timing residuals is also given.
