Abstract: To solve the difficulty of estimating maneuvering acceleration during large maneuvering of a plane symmetric aircraft, a target maneuvering estimation algorithm based on dynamic destructive time dependent motion model (DTDM) is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the dynamic model of the plane symmetric aircraft is decomposed and simplified. Considering that the maneuvering acceleration of the plane symmetric aircraft is mainly generated by the main lift from wing surface, the dynamic equation is simplified to a time dependent model of the magnitude and direction of the main lift. Then, the observability of the proposed model is analyzed according to the observability theory of piece wise constant systems(PWCS) and singular value decomposition (SVD), and it is validated that the observability of the model is better than that of the modified current statistical (MCSM) motion model and Jerk model. Finally, the mathematical simulations using the Cubature Kalman filter (CKF) algorithm are performed on the typical scenario of modern fighter escaping with large maneuvering. The results show that the estimation accuracy of large maneuver of plane symmetric aircraft based on DTDM is better than the accuracy of MCSM and Jerk.
