Abstract: Combined with missions of landing on small celestial bodies that have been implemented so far, a systematic review of guidance and control technologies involved in the small celestial body active landing is carried out. First of all, according to the characteristics of high risk and high uncertainty of small celestial body landing missions, the connotation of active landing is clarified, and the challenges in autonomy and safety of existing landing technologies are analyzed. The importance of improving the active landing ability of small celestial body explorers is expounded. On this basis, the latest research progress of guidance and control technologies related to active descent and landing are summarized. In the end, combined with the requirements of future small celestial body exploration missions, several issues with further research value are listed.
