Abstract: The development status of small satellite structure is expounded from four aspects of structure configuration, structure material, structure connection style and structure evaluation. The characteristics and applicability of five kinds of structures are discussed: spherical or quasi spherical structure, box like panel structure, frame structure of cube satellite, special structure for particular requirements and multi function structure. Multiple development trends of small satellite structures are summarized: universal, miniaturized, specialized and multi functional. The suggestions on the development of small satellite structure material, connection and evaluation are proposed. This paper may provide a reference for creative evolution of small satellite structures.
