Reconstruction Quality Assessment Method of Space Non cooperative  Target with Unknown Configuration

Abstract: For a 3D(Three dimensional)model obtained based on the scanning and reconstruction of the linear array lidar, it is impossible to compare the models to evaluate the quality because of its unknown configuration, so we focus on the quality evaluation method of the unknown configuration. Firstly, the  3σ  optimized least square method is used to fit the plane and straight line of the space non cooperative target point cloud. Secondly, we evaluate the reconstruction quality from the point cloud density, reconstruction geometric properties, and surface integrity, establish a multi factor comprehensive evaluation mathematical model based on the above three evaluation methods, and then evaluate the satisfaction quality of the 3D reconstruction results. Finally, the evaluation method is verified by the simulation experiments with a multi factor comprehensive evaluation satisfaction rate of 95.5889%. The experimental results show that the evaluation method is reasonable and has reference value. The research can not only verify the accuracy of the 3D reconstruction results based on the linear array lidar, but also provide a new research idea for the quality evaluation of the unknown configuration of space non cooperative targets.
