Abstract: Aiming at the challenges of the large dynamic and strong uncertainty of Mars EDL process to the navigation system, based on the multi sensor information fusion theory, a high fault tolerant and strong autonomous landing navigation algorithm for Tianwen 1 is designed to achieve the accurate and reliable estimates of navigation state in the case of large uncertainty of EDL process, multi sensor failure and loss of attitude reference caused by gyro saturation. The effectiveness of the navigation design has been verified by the actual flight results of Tianwen 1.
