A Survey of Lunar Wide range Exploration Rover and GNC Technology

Abstract: The lunar wide range exploration rover and the corresponding guidance, navigation and control(GNC) technologies are reviewed. Firstly, the needs for lunar wide range roving exploration are analyzed, and the research progress of such projects around the world is introduced. Secondly, the current research status of GNC technology for wide range lunar exploration is summarized, for which the existing technical difficulties are briefly analyzed. Finally, we propose the idea of building a lunar wide range exploration network for a more complete and efficient lunar surface exploration, and analyze the significance of its construction and key technologies.
